Welcome to the Airborne 44 Reenactment Group Web site.

Our group portrays the Airborne soldier of WW2 with three

different portrayals, the first one is the US Airborne Paratrooper

of the 101st Airborne Division, in particular the 1st Demolition

squad, knick-named the "Filthy 13", and the theatre of ops we

show is "Operation Overlord" the D-Day landings, 6th June 1944.

The second WW2 portrayal  that we show is a generic element from

the British 1st Airborne Division, knick-named the "Red Devils" by the

the Germans because of their Red Berets. The particular theatre that we

portray is "Operation Market Garden" in Arnhem, 17th-25th Sept 1944.

The last portrayal that our group shows is an element from the German

1st Division Fallschirmjager Parachute Unit.

The 1st Division had seen service in Holland April 1940 at "Eben Emael",

and the Invasion of Crete 20th May 1941 but mainly served in Sicily and

Italy until the end of the War, we portray one epic battle during the defence

of Monte Cassino Feb-May 1944 by elements of the 1st Fallschirmjager Division.

The Airborne- 44 Group is a non profit WW2 history portrayal that has no links with political or any other organisations, we portray the WW2 Airborne soldier

with respect and correctness, and only wish to preserve history for future generations, thank you for your support.
